Water Rates
The South East Kelowna Irrigation District is an improvement district operating under the authority of the Local Government Act. All water charges are authorized under Bylaw and have been reviewed and approved by the Ministry of Community, Sport and Cultural Development. E services are available.
2017 Rates for Quarterly Domestic Water:
Tolls shall be charged a flat rate per unit basis to the owner of every dwelling to which there is a connection to the district works through which water is available for domestic or other purposes.

Single Family Dwelling - A quarterly toll charge of $157.50 per unit.

Multifamily-Residential - A quarterly toll charge of $157.50 per unit.

Secondary Suites - A toll charge for a secondary suite(s), contained within the dwelling, that have paid the applicable fees prescribed in district Bylaws will be billed $78.75 per quarter per suite.

Farm Help Accommodations – A toll charge for a farm help accommodation will be billed $78.75 per quarter per unit.

A Water Quality Improvement Levy of $60.00 per unit per quarter for all units in Phase 1 of the Water Quality Improvement Project as per schedule A of Bylaw #681. Follow this link to find out what phase you are in: One or Two?
►The Board approved a prepay discount of $9.00 per unit if the water for 2017 is paid in full by February 28, 2017 for flat rate quarterly billing cycles. Click here for details on the discount. Contact the office if you have any questions regarding the pre-pay discount.
2017 Rates for Monthly Metered Commercial Water:
For Commercial properties within the district boundary a metered rate will be charged monthly to each service or unit to which there is a connection to the district works through which water is available for commercial purposes. The following charges will be payable by the property owner:

A Minimum monthly charge of $52.50 per service.

A metered rate of $3.44 per 1,000 US gallons.

A Water Quality Improvement Levy of $20.00 a month per service connection for services in Phase 1 of the Water Quality Improvement Project as per Schedule A of Bylaw #681
2017 Rates for Monthly Un-Metered Commercial Water:
Tolls shall be charged a flat rate to the owner of the parcel of land which there is a connection to the district works through which water is available for domestic or other purposes.

A toll charge for mobile home parks billed monthly will be $52.50 per pad.

A Water Quality Improvement Levy of $20.00 a month per service connection for services in Phase 1 of the Water Quality Improvement Project as per Schedule A of Bylaw #681.
